Cassandra Uzo-Ogbugh is an accomplished leader, currently heading External Communications, Corporate Affairs, Media, and Partnerships, overseeing its strategy across West, East, and parts of central Africa for Reckitt.  With 17 years of professional experience in business strategy, brand management, marketing communications, media, and corporate social responsibility (CSR), she has consistently demonstrated her ability to drive business growth, social impact, enhance corporate reputation, and strengthen Reckitt’s influence across the region.

Throughout her career, Cassandra has spearheaded high-profile marketing and communications campaigns for leading multinational brands across the FMCG, beverage, and social sectors. Her expertise includes collaborating with African governments to promote key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDGs 2, 3, 6, and 17.

Beginning her career in PR and events management at Neo Media & Marketing, Lagos, Cassandra played a critical role in the events and PR management for consumer brands such as Knorr, Close-up toothpaste, Lipton, Omo Detergent, Star Lager Beer, Gulder, Maltina, and Cowbell Milk amongst others. Her current role in Reckitt has seen her successfully lead large-scale conferences, CSR programmes, and brand events for flagship products such as Dettol, Harpic, JIK, Mortein, and Veet, engaging high-profile stakeholders from government, media, global NGOs, celebrities, and influencers.

Known for her exceptional marketing and relationship-building skills, Cassandra excels in forging strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, media entities, and influencers, ensuring all communications efforts align seamlessly with her organization’s core values. Her strategic approach to brand management has consistently driven market growth through innovation, consumer insight, and cutting-edge digital marketing strategies. Additionally, her commitment to responsible marketing has contributed to significant shifts in consumer behaviour, delivering tangible business results.

Cassandra is also a multi-award-winning marketing and communications professional. She has been listed on the Top 50 PR Powerlist in Nigeria in 2025, Top 50 Women in Communications in Nigeria 2025 by Women In Marketing and Communications Awards (WIMCA), awarded as the Corporate Communications Professional of the Year 2024 by the Brand Communicator Publication, listed among the Top 50 Women in Communications in Nigeria 2024 by The Industry Paper, and recognised by the global CEO of Reckitt, amongst other internal awards from her organisation.

Cassandra holds a BSc in Microbiology from the University of Lagos, an MA in Marketing and Business from the University of Derby, UK, Senior Executive Leadership Certificate from Oxford University UK, and additional certifications in digital marketing and project management. A passionate advocate for social reformation, she founded the Primigravida Mother’s Foundation in 2016, where she provides funding, maternity and baby care materials to less privileged pregnant mothers. She actively works alongside local NGOs to foster sustainable societal change, further underscoring her dedication to making a lasting impact.
