Her Excellency, Chief Dr Elizabeth Ifeyinwa Jibunoh, is a distinguished Nigerian thought leader, cultural pioneer, and transformational force whose work spans the interconnected worlds of art, wellness, neuropsychiatry, and women’s leadership.
A revered traditional title holder, she is a Chief of two distinguished Delta State communities—Akwukwu-Igbo and Issele-Uku—embodying a rare fusion of cultural heritage, wisdom, and contemporary leadership.
With a legacy of over five decades of impact, she stands as a bridge between heritage and healing, tradition and transformation—dedicating her life to the elevation of human consciousness, the dignity of women, and the preservation of African identity.
She is the Founder and Chairman of Ridgewood Wellness Sanctuary, established in 2013, where she serves as Chief Executive Officer and Lead Coach, guiding individuals and communities toward emotional resilience, inner peace, and holistic wellbeing.
A visionary in the global peace space, she is the originator of the NeuroPeace™ framework—an integrative model advancing inner healing as a foundation for societal transformation—and a leading voice in conversations on trauma, reconciliation, and the unseen cost of conflict, shaped in part by her lived experience of the Nigerian Civil War.
Her commitment to cultural preservation is both historic and enduring. As Co-Founder of the Didi Museum, Nigeria’s first private museum of contemporary art, she helped create a pioneering platform for artistic expression and national memory. Through her leadership of the Elizabeth Jibunoh Art Foundation, she continues to nurture emerging artists, promote visual literacy, and safeguard cultural heritage. Notably, she facilitated a landmark collaboration with the Smithsonian Institution, Washington, leading to the repatriation of the Alonge Collection of photographic archives to Nigeria.
Her advocacy for women is profound and far-reaching. As Founder and Chair of the Strength of Women Initiative (SOWi), she has created transformative spaces where women reclaim their voice, heal from lived experiences, and rise into leadership with clarity and confidence. Her work continues to shape conversations around gender, family systems, and societal renewal.
In the field of wellness, she is also the Founder of the Super Life Juice Brand, a pioneering natural health platform promoting nutrition, vitality, and preventive care—reflecting her lifelong commitment to integrated living.
Dr Jibunoh’s academic and professional journey reflects both depth and global exposure. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in English and History from the University of Lagos, and a master’s degree in Museums and Gallery Management from City University, London. She is a certified Life and Wellness Coach, accredited by the International Coaching Federation through Symbiosis Institute, USA, and is trained in Neuro-Linguistic Programming. She further refined her artistic expression at the prestigious Boerma Institute of Floral Design in Aalsmeer, Holland.
Currently advancing her doctoral work in Neuropsychiatry, with a focus on Frontotemporal Dementia, she continues to expand the frontiers of knowledge—bringing science, empathy, and lived experience into meaningful dialogue.
A gifted writer, speaker, and facilitator, she is the author of Becoming Ageless: A Journey to Wellness and Personal Growth, a work that reflects her philosophy of vitality, resilience, and conscious living.
Beyond her titles and achievements, she is a devoted mother of five and a proud grandmother of thirteen, a nurturer of people, and a quiet architect of transformation. As a mentor and leader, she embodies grace, resilience, and an unwavering belief in the power of the human spirit to heal, rise, and flourish.
Today, we honour not only her extraordinary accomplishments, but her enduring commitment to culture, wellness, peacebuilding, and the empowerment of women and the girl child.
